I've been fishing this pattern in salt/brackish water since 1969 and have had remarkable success here in Texas, and in Louisiana and Mississippi.

I've modified the pattern where I use flat gold tinsel for the body and I put an orange heard on it.

Specs, flounder, redfish, lady fish, hardheads, gafftops, croaker and even a star gazer have been taken on it.

It's my go to fly. It's easily tied and in a very short time.
